DEU Department of Sociology offers a four-year undergraduate program, and two graduate programs to the students who wants to do further research in sociology; one of them provides a B.A. degree and the other one could be completed without writing a thesis.

Working Areas: In Turkey, alumni of Department of Sociology could work both in public and private sectors. Ministries of Development, Health, Justice, Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Family and Social Policies or municipalities employ sociologists. After completing the required procedures of Ministry of Education, working as a teacher of Social Sciences is also possible. Furthermore sociologists work in various fields such as media, political parties, advertising agencies and survey companies.
